Frank Mattiace, creator of SOARFIT, founder and Executive Director of New Pathway Counseling, brings over 20 years of experience in mental health and addiction recovery. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and former professional football player with the Green Bay Packers, New Jersey Generals, and Detroit Lions, Frank transitioned from the field to counseling, earning a Master’s in Counseling from Montclair State University and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern California for Professional Studies.
Frank’s roots are in adolescent behavioral health. Over two decades ago, Frank designed a pilot program that evolved into SOARFIT, a platform emphasizing emotional regulation, resilience, and cognitive function, treating psychological conditions. Through flexibility and growth, SOARFIT addresses neurochemical and emotional adaptability, enhancing brain functions like focus, memory and learning. SOARFIT empowers individuals to meet life’s challenges head-on and thrive in our demanding, ever changing environment.

Michael is the Director of Functional Integrative Therapy (FIT), an innovative approach that integrates functional movement, exercise science, and mindfulness into mental health and substance abuse treatment. A certified fitness professional with 10 years of experience, certified peer recovery specialist and a certified Yoga and the 12 Steps of Recovery facilitator, Michael brings a unique blend of expertise and personal understanding to his work. With over 10 years in recovery and more than 5 years of clinical experience, he has worked with thousands of clients, creating the FIT curriculum to deliver transformative care. Michael oversees our team of certified coaches who work hands-on with clients, helping them achieve resilience and lasting wellness. Passionate about empowering others through physical and mental health, Michael is dedicated to redefining recovery and inspiring lasting change.

Dr. Lionel Annicette, Medical Director
Meet Dr. Annicette
Dr. Lionel Anicette MD brings a wealth of knowledge in the management of multi-disciplinary medical systems focused on the provision of quality, evidence-based medicine. He has managed statewide healthcare systems and supervised the care of over 800 licensed health professionals, he has been responsible for managing the care of over 500,000 individual patient lives. As a Rutger’s Medical School trained internal medicine specialist, he has managed utilization management for multi-million private and public sector health contracts, recruited and trained primary care and sub-specialists throughout the tri-state region and successfully managed medico-legal liability throughout his career. As a medical innovator, in 2007, he launched a tele-medicine program via a joint venture with Cooper Medical School and has helped many organizations obtain national accreditation. He has integrated public health initiatives such as addiction services, preventive health and community health linkages into his policies and procedures throughout his medical career.
In fulfilling his role as Medical Director he is accessible and accommodating to his fellow health providers and is always ready to provide clinical input in the management of even the most involved disease states. His ultimate objective remains maintaining the integrity and sanctity of his patients’ health and welfare.
